2) Give examples of film genres, along with examples of films that fall into each genre
3) What does the term generic conventions mean?
4) Give some examples of generic conventions for the following genres of film.

5) Write a recipe for the perfect film (one genre of your choice). Remember to write down the ingredients you would need and write it like a recipe. eg "Take one haunted forest, add in a scared teenager girl" etc..

Research an Institution

Your first task is going to involve you carry out research into ONE of these companies and writing up your findings in your blog. You need to find out the following details:
1. A brief history of the company- when was it set up and by whom, how have they grown since setting up
2. What areas of the Media they operate in- what different types of media product do they produce?
3. What are the names of the companies which they own
TASK 2
The BBC is an example of a British Public Service Broadcasting Institution.
Carrying on your research task answer the following:
1. When was the BBC set up and by whom?
2. What does BBC stand for?
3. What is the purpose of the BBC?
4. How is the BBC funded?
5. What areas of the Media does the BBC work in?
6. Why do you think it’s important that we have a PSB in Britain?
Both these tasks must be written in your own words and not copied and pasted from the internet.
